Project no.3

R&B Kitchen community commercial. This project was my favourite one to date. Planned and shot in two days with one rehearsal for our new actors.

Started out as a portfolio building assignment for a course I was doing at OCAD

then flipped into a 4 minute commercial for my family's business.

It feels good to get the opportunity to share film with my friends and family. I loved this project especially because of the musical elements that add the authentic 'downhome' touch.

Project no.4

Titled "North Preston: The Untold Story". A Film created by me, Kardeisha Provo, as part of the Being Black in Halifax program. It's a story created with the help of my friends and family to share my perspective of growing up and living in North Preston.

Throughout this journey, I've come to understand a great deal of the complexities within my community. There is still a lot to explore. nearly 300 years of rich history comes out of this place and I want to continue to tell it.
